High Desert Orthopedics was founded by Dr. Pathi in 1986. As one of the first orthopedic surgeons in the area, Dr. Pathi has led many new procedures for the community including arthroscopic surgery, joint replacement surgery and reconstructive surgery. He was also distinguished as the first physician in the High Desert to be Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery and Hand Surgery.
As an active member of the medical community, Dr. Pathi has had the title of clinical professor at the University of Colorado and College of the Pacific here in Southern California. He has more than 14 publications in the field of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and has had the honor of 5 National Scientific Presentations.
Dr. Pathi received his medical degree from the Stanley Medical College at Madras University in Tamil Nadu, India. There he also received his Master of Surgery in General Surgery. Following his graduation, Dr. Pathi moved to Brooklyn, New York to complete his internship in Surgery at the Coney Island Hospital. After his internship, Dr. Pathi completed his Residency in Orthopedic Surgery at State University of New York at King County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Pathi then continued his education and experience by doing a Fellowship in Orthopedics, Sport Medicine and Hand Surgery at the Denver Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Clinic in Denver, Colorado. There, Dr. Pathi learned the techniques of Orthopedic Reconstructive Surgery and Hand Surgery under Mack L. Clayton MD, the then Physician to the NFL’s Denver Broncos.
Dr. Pathi is affiliated with St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA and Victor Valley Hospital in Victorville, CA.
